XLC-DVX FIR_Drive Preset Notes
9-27-10 MDK

The preset options in this folder are the XLC-DVX FIR_Drive v2.0 (standard EV flat preset) and the XLC-DVX FIR v1.0M (Musical preset). You may choose which preset best suits your tastes. (NOTE: Do not mix the standard preset with the musical preset.)

Subwoofers are time-aligned and level-adjusted to be flown in the same array, or in an array directly next to the main hang. The subwoofer level is set for a 2/3 ratio of subs to top boxes. Subwoofer output level and alignment delay may need to be adjusted for your application.

The XLC127DVX and XLC907DVX presets are time-aligned to allow multi-pattern array creation. All presets provided in this folder contain 80Hz crossovers between the subwoofers and the top boxes. For higher power application, 100Hz crossover presets are available upon request.

We created these presets for use with the TG-series amplifiers equipped with RCM-26 DSP cards. IRIS v2.4 with RCM Firmware 1.15 is required for use with these settings. These presets can also be used in the Dx46 processor with FIR Drive. These presets can NOT be used with an N8000 (NetMax) at this point in time. At this time we ask that you continue to use XLC-DVX FIR v1.0 settings with your N8000. Contact the EV Technical Support Group if you have questions regarding FIR_Drive and the N8000.

The XLC-DVX FIR_Drive v2.0 settings include the new EV TEMP (Thermal Energy Management and Protection) limiter. This limiter in combination with the EV PA (Peak Anticipation) Limiter provide supperior protection for your transducers and PA. No acoustic changes have been made from XLC-DVX FIR v1.0.
